5.2 Part replacement
5.2.1 How to replace parts - general procedure
1. Remove the fixture. See § 4.4.
2. Replace the part.

Upper cover assy. See § 5.2.2.
- Prism. See § 5.2.3.
- Optical assy. See § 5.2.4.
- Inner cover assy. See § 5.2.5.
- Repair a faulty light. See § 5.2.8 (for monitoring option only).
- Replace the fuse resistor. See § 5.2.9 (for monitoring option only).
- Cable lead. See § 5.2.6.
- Labyrinth gasket. See § 5.2.7.
3. Make sure that a waterproof test is carried out. See § 5.3.
4. Carry out a fixture operation test. See § 5.4.
5. Install the fixture. See § 4.3.
WARNING
„
Only use fasteners of the same type as the one originally supplied with
the fixture.
„
Always tighten the fasteners to the recommended torque. Use a
calibrated torque wrench.
If this is not the case, this may cause the fasteners to loosen, damage the
fixture, potentially to loosen the fixture. This can lead to a highly dangerous
situation of FOD, with potential lethal consequences.
CAUTION
Never hold the fixture by the cable leads. This can damage the insulation,
break the waterproof seal and cause insulation faults and water leakage.
