Appendix A: ASM Pro quick installation guide

Installing ASM Pro Console

To install ASM Pro Console:

Insert the Management CD into your system’s CD-ROM drive.

Click the

Applications

button.

In the Applications list, select

Advanced System Manager

(ASM) Pro Console V4.5

Click the

Setup

button.

Follow the Installation Wizard.

Click

Finish

to complete the installation.

Note:

Remember to remove all diskettes or CDs from the drives

before rebooting the system.

Installing ASM Pro Server Agent

ASM Pro Server Agent can be installed on four different operating
systems. The installation diskette contains the installation files for the
following operating systems:

•

Novell NetWare 5.0, 5.1

•

SCO OpenServer 5.06

•

SCO Unixware 7.1

•

Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server

•

Linux RedHat 6.2, 7.0

•

Microsoft Windows 2000 (Server and Advanced Server with SP1,
SP2)

Installing the Novell NetWare Server Agent

Note:

Make sure the SNMP (Simple Network Management

Protocol) is configured properly.
