measurement, the measurement data will be averaged and, stored and the display will
show whatever measurement result is selected. Measurement error or warning messages
will occur in the same manner as in the
Ready-to-Measure
state. If you use the square
MODE
key to accept a measurement it will be included in the average. If you use the
DO
key or allow the message to timeout, the measurement will not be included in the
average.
The menu item
Adjust Avg Cnt
allows you to modify the number of individual
measurements in an average. This may be any number between -99 and +99 excluding
minus one, zero, and one. Negative numbers are used for automatic averaging. When the
number to average is negative the instrument will proceed from measurement to
measurement without waiting for the operator to initiate each measurement.
To select a new average count starting from the
