DISPLAY CONTROL
The instrument may store several hundred sample measurements and each of these
measurements may provide data for a number of different measurement displays. While
the instrument is
Ready to Measure
the arrow keys may be used to walk through stored
samples or measurement displays. The instrument may be set up so that the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys have one of three effects during measurement display.
1.
They may be disabled. This means that they will not change the type of measurement
display or the number of the stored sample being displayed.
2.
They may be set up to walk through the set of measurement displays for the active
measurement.
3.
Finally, they may be set up to walk through the set of stored samples.
The set-up of the operation of the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys may be made using a
personal computer or in the instrument using the KEYBOARD MODE branch of
SETUP in the instrument control menu.
Multiple measurement display
Once a measurement is complete and the instrument is displaying a measurement result,
you may wish to display other information about the sample measured. If your instrument
has been programmed to display a single value this discussion will not apply. If the
instrument has been set up to display multiple results, and has been set up to allow the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys to select results, then you will be able to see multiple
measurement displays for each sample without remeasuring the sample. After any
measurement the arrow keys may be used to toggle through all of the measurement
displays which have been enabled. For example, starting with whiteness you might see:
and if you press the
DOWN
arrow you might see.
If you now press the
UP
arrow key you will “walk” through the same displays in the
reverse order. All of these are displays of measurement calculations for the same sample,
stored in location 015. There are a number of possible measurement displays. Each of
these may be
ENABLED
or
DISABLED.
After each measurement the arrow keys may
be used to “walk” through the list of enabled displays. Displays may be enabled using a
personal computer over the RS232 interface or by using the set-up menu of the
