II. 2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER!

- Skilled technicians, qualified to work on air conditioning and cooling systems, must only carry out installation.
Incorrect installation could cause the unit not to run poorly, with a consequent noticeable deterioration in
performance.
- The personnel must install the unit according to national or local regulations in force at the time of installation.
Always use personal protective equipment.
- Make sure that the voltage and frequency of the electrical system meet requirements and that the available installed
power is sufficient for the operation of other domestic appliances connected to the same power lines. Make sure that
the power supply network corresponds to current national safety standards. Make sure that the unit is effectively
earthed.
- The unit's condensation drainpipe should only be extended with a PVC pipe (not provided) of a suitable length and
diameter for installation, and should be insulated.
- The unit is not designed for installation in laundries (CEI EN 60335-2-40).

For installation, follow the instructions provided below: Install the unit as close as possible to the room. The direction
of the airflow can be adjusted by moving the louver fins according to the operating mode (cooling or heating), in order
to optimize air distribution throughout the room. During operation in cooling mode, the optimal louver fin position (2) is
that which enables the out coming air to brush the ceiling (Coanda effect). During heating, on the other hand, the
optimum position (1) is pointed at the floor, thus avoiding the stratification of hot air at the top of the room.

In order to enable quick and easy installation and maintenance, make sure that the false ceiling panels can be
removed in the chosen position or, in the case of brickwork false ceilings, that access to the unit is guaranteed. In the
case of plasterboard false ceilings, the unit housing area must measure no more than 660 x 660 mm (models
