 Remove the screws that secure the coil to the structure of the unit on both sides;

 Extract the exchanger.

• To replace the exchanger, proceed in reverse order.
The electrical panel is easy to access by removing the cover panel. The inspection or replacement of the internal
components, such as the motor-driven fan, the heat exchange coil, the condensation drain pump and the safety
micro-float, require the removal of the condensation collection tray.

Removing the condensation collection tray

When removing the condensation collection tray, use a plastic sheet to protect the floor under the unit from accidental
condensation leaks. Remove the frame-grille assembly by unscrewing the screws; drain the condensation water
contained in the tray by means of a specific drain with rubber cap, into a 10-litre or bigger bucket. Unscrew the 4
fixture screws on the sides and remove the drain tray carefully.

II. 5 INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISMANTLING THE UNIT AND DISPOSING OF HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION!

The firm has always been aware of the importance of protecting the environment. When the unit is dismantled, it is

important to adhere scrupulously to the following procedures.

A firm authorized for the disposal of scrap machinery/products should only dismantle the unit. The unit as a whole is
composed of materials that can be treated as SRM (secondary raw materials) and the following conditions must be
observed:
• If the appliance contains antifreeze, this should not just be disposed of freely, as it causes pollution.
• It must be collected and disposed of in a suitable manner;
• The electronic components (electrolytic condensers) should be considered as special refuse. As such, they should
be handed over to an authorized collection body;
• The pipe insulation material, in foamed polyurethane rubber, in reticulated foamed polyethylene, in foamed
polyurethane and soundproof sponge, which covers the paneling, must be removed and treated as normal urban
refuse.
