Using a pencil and plumb line
(alternatively a stanchion as a line and
a level or a very long level can be
used), mark the position of the upper
and lower holes for the stanchions just
positioned (Fig. 17 e Fig. 18) that
correspond to the V notches on the rail.
The notches are on both parts of the
rail.

Caution! The holes must be properly aligned on the vertical.
 At this point the 8.5 mm holes can be
drilled where the marks had just been
made.
 Continue as above for the remaining
stanchions.
