Adjusting the Height and Stroke of the Nozzles
a)
Without the machine connected to an electrical supply. Hook up the air line and
adjust the pressure coming from the tank to between 80 and 100 PSI. Once this is
done, open the emergency cut-off valve (See Figure 25) and set the regulator on the
machine to the same pressure (80-100 PSI).
b)
When you open the valve in the previous step the nozzles should have gone to the up
position until the pieces GI3300-01-012 and GI3300-01-013 stop them (See Figure
24)
c)
Take two (02) containers, and place one under each of the end nozzles. When they are
in position, disconnect the air at the emergency cut-off valve, and manually adjust the
center hand wheel PI3100-01-035 (See Figure 24), until the nozzles over the two
containers are set at the desired position. Be sure that the pneumatic cylinder for the
nozzles is fully retracted.
d)
To adjust the upper position of the nozzle bar, fix the stops PI3100-01-012 and
PI3100-01-013 (See Figure 24) to the desired height (roughly ½ in. to 1 in. above the
container opening). The air supply is now ready to be re-opened, and the nozzles
should stop at the set height. If desired height is not reached, cut-off the air supply
and readjust the stops.
e)
Once the nozzle height and stroke has been adjusted, plug the machine in to the
electrical supply (220V AC). Move the upper magnetic sensor on the back of the
main cylinder until the light turns ON. Once this is done, disconnect the air, allow the
nozzle bar to come down to the desired position, and repeat the process with the
lower sensor.
