The effective IR range depends on the location. Light-absorbing surfaces or objects in the
field of view that do not reflect IR light reduce the IR range or cause the video image to be
too dark. Furthermore, reflective objects in the direct vicinity of the camera (eaves, wall) can
cause disturbing reflections of the IR light in the image.

6. Initial commissioning
6.1 Using the ABUS IP Installer to search for cameras
Install and start the ABUS IP Installer. This is available via the ABUS website
www.abus.com for the
respective product.
The IP camera should now appear in the selection list, possibly with an IP address that does not match the
target network. The IP settings of the camera can be changed via the IP Installer.
Via the "Browser" button, a previously selected camera can be opened directly in the Internet browser (the
browser set as the default browser under Windows is used).
