Toasting Time Change
In early 2003, there was a change in the toasting time and
Bun Thickness settings. The toasting time was changed
from 10 seconds to 17 seconds and the Bun Thickness
settings were changed from “B & 3” to “D & 5.” This field
“Toast Quality Kit” was installed on models VCT-200RD (Mfg.
#9200500), VCT-200RR (Mfg. #9200502), and VCT-200RS
(Mfg. #9200504). Not all toasters were changed to a 17
second toasting time. To determine if your toaster is 10 or
17 seconds, look at the Bun Thickness Control Adjustment
Label located on the left end panel. If the background color is
YELLOW, the toasting time is 17 seconds. If the background
color is GRAY, the toasting time is 10 seconds. If your toast-
er has been changed to a 17 second unit, follow all instruc-
tions and information with a 17 second heading.
