IMPORTANT NOTES:
(*) The typical current of 3 A per port can be achieved if the PoE configuration chosen to power a device is through
one of the GigaKey: GS-K-AB or GS-K-9.S because they both use all four pairs of conductors for power. If instead,
we use the other GigaKeys: GS-K-B or GS-K-BR, the typical current per port will be 1.5A

the typical power of the module

Examples:
Suppose we have a GS-G-POE cartridge with GigaKey GS-K-AB or GS-K-9.S installed in it. According to the technical
specifications of this cartridge, each port can power a device that consumes up to 3A and this is true. However, special
care must be taken because in this case the total current will be limited by the typical cartridge current, which is 6A.
In this way, we can connect up to four devices so that the typical total current of 6A is not exceeded.
In other words, in the given example, we will be able to connect to the cartridge:
o
Up to two devices that consume 3A
o
Four devices that consume 1.5A
o
Two devices that consume 2A and two that consume 1A
o
And any other possible configuration without exceeding the consumption of 6A
If, on the other hand, we choose the GS-G-POE-CS cartridge with GigaKey GS-K-AB or GS-K-9.S, in the base unit GS-G-
V3 (version 3), we will be able to power up to 4 devices that consume a total of 12A.
