Basic Use – Donning the Headset
Warning: If the headset is not adjusted properly, it can lead to fatigue of
the eyes or blurred vision. In general the headset should not be worn if the
user is experiencing discomfort and should not be worn longer than one
hour at a time without taking a break for 10-15 minutes.
To don the HMD, follow these steps:
a. Place the headset on top of the head and gently slide it down.
b. Adjust the top and back ratchets (see Figure 10) so that the headset is
comfortable and that the displays are as close to the eyes as possible. Take care
not to tighten the back ratchet too much.
c. Adjust the angle of the headset so that the optical display is 5 to 10 degrees
below the horizontal.
d. Adjust the earphones so that they are in a comfortable position.
