Disable each channel that is unlicensed or not connected to a live video feed:
To change the channel name, click in the 4.
Name
field and enter a concise channel name
in accordance with the customer’s naming
conventions.
Select the name of the channel to be disabled. 1.
Under the 2. Channel Description category
heading, click
Disable Channel
.
Edit the channel name to indicate why it is 3.
disabled:
If the channel is licensed but unused, •
type Unused into the Name field.
If the channel is unlicensed, type •
Unlicensed into the Name field.
Press the Enter key, and click 4.
Save
to save
your changes.

On a 24-channel E-Series or P-Series
system, channels 25-32 should be
disabled and labeled
Unlicensed .
