Instant Replay 3 Operations Manual 

MANUAL / FOLLOW ON button

: Controls the mode the clip is in.   This button 

affects what happens to a clip when it finishes playing dependent on the state of 

the LOOP.  In general, with LOOP off, MANUAL mode causes a clip to halt at the 
end of its playout.   With LOOP on, the clip would repeat playout until acted on.   
In FOLLOW ON mode, playout will continue if there is a NEXT clip in the cue.   
This could be from a Playlist, Hot-List or a next cued clip. 

 

LOOP button

: When on (

green

) this button (see also the physical keyboard LOOP 

button) will loop the currently loaded clip when played until this button is turned 

off.     

 

Playlist Section 

 

The playlist section provides the name of the playlist (if a clip from a playlist is 
currently loaded or as a next cued clip). 

 

 

SHUFFLE button

: Randomizes the playout of a loaded playlist. 

 

LOOP button

: When on (

green

), loops the currently loaded playlist.   Note that if 

the LOOP button in the Clip section is enabled, the current clip will loop until the 

Clip section LOOP button is disabled. 

 

Information Section 

Various messages or alerts are displayed in this field in gold depending on the state 
of the system. 

 

Audio Control Section 

 

The audio controls include a scale to adjust the head phone volume and VU meters 
for visualizing the audio levels during playout. 

 

 

PREVIEW button

:  The preview button turns off the main outputs leaving only the 

headphone output active.   The PREVIEW button can only be activated when the 
system is idle. 

 

Navigation Buttons 

 

The bottom row of buttons on every screen allow the user to navigate to other 
areas of the interface or allow certain actions to be completed.  Note that 

depending on the current state of the system, buttons may be enabled or disabled. 

 

MENU button

: Selection opens the Main Menu screen. 

SELECT CLIP button

: Selection opens the CLIP / PLAYLIST SELECTOR screen 

allowing the user to select a clip or playlist to be loaded. 

CLIP INFO button

: Selection opens the Clip Information screen for the clip that is 

currently cued.
