Maintenance

This chapter displays information on the maintenance screens.

24.1 Maintenance Overview

The maintenance screens can help you view system information, upload new firmware,
manage configuration and restart your ZyWALL.

24.2 General Setup

24.2.1 General Setup and System Name

General Setup

contains administrative and system-related information.

System Name

is for

identification purposes. However, because some ISPs check this name you should enter your
computer's "Computer Name".

• In Windows 95/98 click

field and enter it as the

Name

24.2.2 Domain Name

The

Domain Name

entry is what is propagated to the DHCP clients on the LAN. If you leave

this blank, the domain name obtained by DHCP from the ISP is used. While you must enter
the host name (System Name), the domain name can be assigned from the ZyWALL via
DHCP.
