Switching back to router mode
If you want to operate your VMG8825 again in router mode (that is, in the original
factory condition), you can perform the switch by two methods.
Switching via the reset button (factory reset)
Press the
RESET
button (see page 25) on the back of your VMG8825 and keep
it pressed for at least 10 seconds. The
PWR
LED then flashes red, and the device is
reset to the factory status as a router. This process can take several minutes.
Switching via the user interface
Connect a computer/laptop to the Ethernet port
LAN1
of your VMG8825 and open
the page
zyxel.box
with your Internet browser.
Go to the menu
Router Switch
and follow the instructions on that page. On con-
firming with the
Reset
button, the device will be reset to the factory status as a
router. This process can take several minutes.

NOTE
After you have switched the VMG8825 back to router mode, it will restart and
reload the factory settings.
If you have saved your own configuration file in advance, you can load it back into
the device via the user interface.
