Restoring factory defaults
The
RESET
button is located on the back of the unit above the Power button.
ATTENTION
Resetting interrupts all ongoing telephone calls and Internet connections. Con-
sequently, if you have customized any settings on your VMG8825, please save the
custom configuration via the user interface before resetting the device. You can
then reload the configuration into the device later.
To restore the factory settings, proceed as follows:
1.
Press the
RESET
button for about 10 seconds until the
Power
LED flashes.
2. The
Power
LED lights up red for about 30 seconds and then turns green again.
After about 2 minutes, the VMG8825 will be operational again.
3. You will now need to set up the VMG8825 again as described in the „
Initial
setup“
section or reload your saved configuration.
Firmware update
If you want to update the software of your VMG8825, please download this first
from the support pages of Zyxel at:
www.zyxel.de
Then connect the computer on which the new firmware file is located via LAM pr
WLAN with your VMG8825 and call up the page
zyxel.box
via your Internet brow-
ser.
Enter the password for access to the user interface and open the menu item
System/Firmware Update
. Follow the instructions there to perform the update.
