Operating the gears 

Your bike is equipped with a twist shifter that is operated by turning your wrist. 

A T T E N T I O N

 

 

When changing gears, try not to change under load. Try to pedal in 
idle so that the chain is only slightly under tension. This procedure is 
necessary to protect your entire drive train, including the electric mo-
tor. These components are not designed for changing gear under 
load! 

 

 

Your bike is equipped with a shift indicator on the shift handle. This allows you to see at a 
glance which gear you are currently in. The higher the number displayed, the smaller the 
sprocket you are currently using and the lower the gear you are using. 

 

Proceed as follows to operate your rear derailleur:

Turn the twist grip shifter in the desired direction to engage a higher or lower gear.
