The Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings Menu
The Wi-Fi hotspot
settings menu gives you access to information and controls for your device’s
hotspot feature.
1. From the Home screen, touch

Set up Wi-Fi hotspot
to set up your hotspot options.
Network SSID:
Enter or edit a network SSID (name) that other devices see when
scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
Broadcast SSID:
Set whether to broadcast the name of the network.
Channel:
Select the channel of the Wi-Fi hotspot.
Security:
Choose a security option:
Open
(not recommended),
WPA PSK
or
WPA2
PSK
(other users can access your mobile hotspot only if they enter the correct
password). When you select
WPA PSK
or
WPA2 PSK
, touch the Password field to
edit the security password
3. Touch
Save
to save your settings.
Show SSID Password in Hotspot Widget
This menu allows the SSID password to appear in the hotspot widget.

Manage Users
The manage users menu allows you to limit the devices that can connect to your device
’s
hotspot.

MAC Manager

: Touch to allow listed devices to access your hotspot.

Add MAC address
: Type the MAC address of other devices.

MAC ADDRESS
: Displays the list of addresses.
Max connection:
Touch to set the maximum number of devices that can be
connected.
