FSAP 9800 supports the Ethernet cascading networking. DSLAM
equipments of multiple levels can be concatenated through the
Ethernet uplink ports, which can effectively extend the network
coverage distance and meet the requirements of large subscriber
capacity. FSAP 9800 equipments provide FE, GE and 10GE inter-
faces to concatenate other DSLAM equipments.

There are two types of cascading methods:

1. Use the interface daughter card of the control and switch card

to provide the Ethernet uplink port;

2. Use the Ethernet interface card to provide the Ethernet uplink

port.

FSAP 9800 Ethernet cascading networking scheme is as

shows. In this example, FSAP 9800 is concatenated to FSAP 9803
through the interface daughter card of the control and switch card.
