Create a Telnet Client for a specified ADSL modem in FSAP 9800.
Log in to the ADSL modem from the embedded NM interface (
)
of FSAP 9800, and use the Telnet interface of the ADSL modem to
manage it.
The system consists of two parts:

FSAP 9800 NE, serving as the client for the Telnet server of the
ADSL modem

ADSL modem, serving as the Telnet server
The work flow in Telnet proxy mode is as follows:
1. The subscriber enters the
modem slot/port
command on the
embedded NM interface of FSAP 9800. FSAP 9800 creates a
Telnet link according to the slot/port, and logs in to the ADSL
modem as the client.
2. After the Telnet link is established, the subscriber enters the
Telnet interface of the ADSL modem at the slot/port through
the embedded NM interface of FSAP 9800. FSAP 9800 forwards
the data through the Telnet link created for the ADSL modem.
3. When the subscriber exits the Telnet interface of the ADSL mo-
dem, FSAP 9800 automatically releases the Telnet link and the
subscriber returns to the embedded NM interface of FSAP 9800.
Note:
FSAP 9800 uses the Telnet proxy mode and supports management
over five ADSL modems.
Modem Management Security
When a subscriber sends too much data on their
, the system
disables the PVC and the subscriber is unable to send data. This is
for security purposes as the subscriber can try to block the system
