(14) Adjust the mirrors for clear vision to the rear.
B. GENERAL CHECKS AT VEHICLE START UP
Before you start the vehicle on a steep slope or a muddy road, move the
transmission selection lever into “F1” position.
Do not turn the power supply OFF while the engine in ON. The instruments,
signals, and indicators do not operate. This causes a dangerous condition
because the ECU does not have power.

Examine the controls and instruments.

Examine the transmission oil pressure gauge.
1 The transmission oil pressure must be between 240 PSI (1.7 MPa) – 310
PSI (2.1 MPa).

Examine the compressed air supply.

Examine the engine coolant temperature gauge.
1 After the engine has the time to warm-up, the pointer must point to the
green range (between 158° F (70° C) and 203° F (95° C)).

Make sure that the transmission gears shift correctly.

Make sure that the 360° superstructure lock moves correctly.
