Checking and adjusting carbon brushes
Check the carbon brushes after every 20
hours of operation.
Carefully open the carbon bush covers (21)
on the motor (20) and remove the spring-
loaded carbon brushes.
If the carbon brushes are worn to less than 5
mm, or if the spring looks burnt, both must
be replaced at the same time.
Allow the saw to run for 5-10 minutes with
no load to run the new carbon brushes in.
There may be sparks in the meantime. This
is perfectly normal.
