Special safety instructions
Check that the motor’s vent holes are not
blocked.
Never stop the saw blade by pressing
against the saw, or by applying pressure to
the side of the saw blade itself.
Always use the correct type of saw blade
for the job in hand. This saw is designed for
sawing wood. Never use bent saw blades, or
saw blades that have teeth missing.
Never use saw blades that are too large or
too small.
Never use saw blades whose maximum
speed is less than the tool’s maximum RPM.
Check that the direction indicated on the
saw blade matches the direction of rotation
of the motor. The saw blade teeth must
point downwards towards the saw bench
on the front of the saw.
Always wear protective gloves when
handling the blade. Never put your hand
under the mitre saw or try to remove
material from the working area while the
blade is rotating. Never place your fingers
or hand on the item being cut in front of,
behind or under the mitre saw while it is
running.
Never saw more than one item at a time.
Use extra supports (table, trestles or similar)
for long items so they do not tip off the
workbench during sawing.
Do not saw items that are so small they
cannot be securely clamped.
Never adjust the mitre angle or bevel angle
while the saw is running.
Always keep the spindle and flanges used
for mounting the saw blades clean.
Never use the mitre saw if the blade guard
is not working correctly. The blade guard
should close automatically when the mitre
saw is not in use, and must NEVER be
secured in an open position.
Never allow the blade to be in contact with
the item to be cut, or other objects, when
starting the saw.
Check that the item does not contain nails,
screws or other objects that may damage
the saw blade.
The saw blade will not stop immediately
when you release the on/off button.
Tighten all lock screws and secure the
saw arm in the lowest position if you are
transporting the saw.
Preparation
Mounting the lock knob for the mitre
angle
Screw the knob (11) into the hole on the
mitre arm, and tighten it, though not so
tightly that the mitre arm cannot be moved.
