Handling new batteries
For safety and prolonged shelf life, batteries are shipped at a reduced state of charge and cannot be used in
the platform without charging.

efore using a new battery. Charge the battery in the battery charger. The battery charger brings batteries
out of low power storage mode, charges, and when needed, automatically performs measurement cycle
and test. (page 3 2 ) .
Note. Batteries must be charged before first use, and at least once a year thereafter.
Battery status
If the battery is not in the battery charger, press Status check button to view the battery charge level
(Figure
5.2). If the battery is in the battery charger, the battery charge status is displayed in the "Battery
charger panel" (page 3 1 ).
