•
Remove the side cover and loosen the M20 nut
(1) with a wrench (30 mm) (3).
•
The tension of the crawler is adjusted with the
hexagon screw M20x120 (2).
o
By turning clockwise, the crawler is ten-
sioned.
o
Turning counter clockwise loosens the
crawler.
•
After adjusting the crawler tension, tighten the
M20 nut (1) again with a wrench (30 mm) (3).
NOTE:
The tightening torque must be between 98 -
108 Nm (10 to 11 kgf-m).
•
Replace the side cover.
•
Rotate the crawler one or two rotations after
adjusting the crawler tension to check the ten-
sion.
NOTE:
•
If the crawler is too tight, wear will increase.
•
If the crawler is adjusted too loosely, the crawler links will bump against the sprocket. This also
leads to increased wear. In addition, the crawlers can become misaligned or loose.
•
The crawler must be cleaned after each use of the machine.
•
If the crawler tension has increased due to adhering mud, lift the crawler using the boom, arm and
bucket. Run the engine at idle speed and carefully remove the mud by rotating the crawler espe-
cially from the openings of the connecting plate.
Important notes on the use of rubber tracks:
1. Turn the machine only slowly. Avoid turning too fast to reduce lug wear and dirt ingress.
2. If too much dirt and sand clog the tracks. In this case, reverse the machine a short distance to allow soil
and sand to fall off, then turn the machine around.
3. Avoid using rubber tracks in river beds, on stony ground, on reinforced concrete and iron plates. The
rubber tracks can be damaged and wear out more quickly.

Change bucket
NOTE:
•
Chips may fall off when installing or removing the connecting bolts. Always wear gloves, eye pro-
tection and a helmet.
•
If equipment replacement must be performed with the motor running, always work in pairs. One
person sits at the driver's seat and the other person works on the machine.
•
Do not use your fingers to centre the holes. There is a risk of injury in the event of an uncontrolled,
sudden movement!
•
Read the operating instructions of the attachment to ensure correct operation.
16.2.26
Changing the fuses
A slow blow fuse is used to protect the electrical circuits. If the fusible link is blown, check the circuit for
faults and replace with a new compatible slow blow fuse.
•
Remove the cover (1) of the fuse box.
•
Replace the blown slow blow fuse (2) with
a new fuse of the same rating.
16.2.27
Preparing for cold weather operation
•
Replace engine oil and hydraulic oil with oils of suitable viscosity for low temperatures.
•
At low temperatures, battery performance decreases and the electrolyte may freeze if the battery
is not sufficiently charged. To prevent the electrolyte from freezing, make sure that the battery is
