External filter bypass valve
The diverter bypass valve allows the user to choose to have the boiling water treated either by the internal or by
an optional external water treatment device. This diverter valve is located at the rear panel of the Zip HydroTap
Command Center (see the image below). Check to determine which bypass position you need for your product.

Before installation, determine whether a water softener or an external filter is required.
4.1
Electrical power supply
Warning:
HydroTap models are available for either 110-120V, 60Hz OR 230V, 50Hz AC
installations. Ensure the electrical power supply at the installation site is suitable for your HydroTap.
Use only the power lead supplied with the product. Connect the power lead to the HydroTap and
connect the plug into the electrical power outlet, ensuring both ends are securely engaged to
reduce the risk of overheating.
Power lead for 110-120V, 60Hz ONLY
(NEMA 5-15 / IEC C19)
