4.6 Fitting the divider tips
Fig. 23
Putting up the hood flap
Centre covers and side covers are deflected at the
rear. To lift it, you must knock over the tip, remove
the locking pin
A
and release the lever
B.
Then
raise the hood and make sure you place the hood
support
C
correctly in its seat to prevent accidental
closing of the hood while inspecting the machine.
See the image below.
Switch off the cornheader before opening
the housing flap.
Fig. 24
Setting the divider tips
Remove the anti-lowering clamp.
Place the picker on a level surface and lower to a
clearance of 15 cm from the ground.
Set the divider tips with screws so that they have a
2 cm clearance to the floor (normal setting).
If the harvester falls strongly into the field, adjust
the settings.
4.7 Adjusting the snapping plates
Fig. 25
Basic settings of the snapping plates
This means that the snapping plates are slid to-
gether as closely as possible.
These values are set via the screwed snapping
plate (R) and the screws (K).
The wedge-shaped setting is very important for the
function of the picker.
Operation is performed via the harvester hydrau-
lics. Depending on the combine harvester model
this can be performed via the function raise / lower
reel.
