5. Miscellaneous
Storage
Store Sens-Aid either in the transport bag, in a chair or folded in a place where there is no risk of
tripping over it. Sens-Aid must always be stored indoors in a dry place.
Marking
Sens-Aid is marked in accordance with EU legislation for Class I medical devices, including
product name, production date, size/weight, CE marking, LOT and REF numbers.
Sens-Aid is covered by a 2-year warranty. The product is covered by a warranty for production
defects. The warranty does not cover ordinary wear and tear, product deterioration or damage
resulting from careless handling or care of the product.
Warranty
Always check before cleaning that the Sens-Aid cover is intact and that there is no damage or
breakage of fabric or seams.
4. Cleaning
It is important to follow the instructions below when washing/cleaning the product, e.g., before
using Sens-Aid for a new user. If in doubt, contact your healthcare provider in charge of hygiene-
related matters or your supplier for assistance and further instructions.
The Sens-Aid core and hood are made from PU material, which may be disinfected or wiped off, but
cannot be washed in a washing machine.
The Sens-Aid PU core and hood may be wiped off using a mild cleaning solution or disinfected using a
suitable solution, e.g., alcohol with or without surfactants, isopropanol 70%, an oxidizing solution or
max. 1% chlorine. Stool and blood stains should be removed immediately with cold water. Carefully
follow the local guidelines and the instructions for use of cleaning agents. Chlorine- and phenol-
based cleaning agents may have a negative impact on the PU surface and should be avoided.
If chlorine is used, a mixture of maximum 1% is recommended.
The Sens-Aid textile cover and the cover of the hood can be washed in a normal washing machine on
a gentle cycle at a maximum of 60 degrees Celsius.

The product has an expected service life of 5 years based on correct handling, maintenance and
storage in the included cover.
