If you hear any leaks, turn the tank valve off. Do not use the SBA until
the source of the leak has been found and corrected by an authorized
Tiger Performance SBA service technician.
CAUTION
PRE-USE CHECK
1. Before using the Tiger Performance SBA, check to be sure that
the black Fill Probe Cap is in place on the Fill Probe (see Fig. 2) Use
without this Cap in place can result in water and contaminants being
blown into the interior of the cylinder during filling, which in turn will
cause future mechanical problems in the regulator and valve.
2. Prior to each use always check to make certain your regulator has
no potential leaks by inhaling on the regulator with the SBA’s Valve
Handwheel turned off. You should not be able to draw in any air. If
you can draw in any quantity of air, either the exhaust valve is failing
to seal properly, or there may be a pinhole leak in the mouthpiece or
second stage diaphragm. Service the SBA if necessary.
3. Just before turning on the SBA’s Valve Handwheel, check to make
sure that the all hose connections are tight and that the regulator
body is aligned properly, with no kinks in the hoses.
4. At the beginning of each use, turn the Valve Handwheel on slowly,
check for air leaks and proper breathing function of the regulator. If
any unusual leaks are heard, do not use the regulator. Take the SBA
to an authorized Tiger Performance SBA repair facility for inspection
and repair if necessary.
WARNING
The SBA cylinder pressure indicating gauge will not show cylinder
pressure unless the Valve Handwheel is turned on. The SBA should not
be considered ready for service unless the gauge reads 3000 psi. when
the handwheel is turned on. If the reading is below 3000 psi, the cylinder
must be refilled before use.
