SBA FIRST STAGE & VALVE
The compact SBA body, is a combination of on-off valve, quick-
disconnect filling attachment, and a simple rugged Flow-by
Piston first stage. The Tiger Performance SBA screws directly
into a 3000 psi Cylinder and is much lighter and more compact
than the separate Valve and Regulator pair it replaces. This
makes the Tiger Performance SBA an excellent choice when bulk
and weight are considerations, such as escape and redundant
air supply systems. The 1st stage reduces the high pressure air
contained in the cylinder to a constant intermediate pressure
of approximately 135 psi (9.2 BAR). Tiger SBA first stages are
designed to do this with outstanding reliability.
DANGER
Using nitrox (i.e., gas mixtures containing oxygen in excess of 21%)
requires special training and procedures. Improper use of nitrox can
lead to personal injury, convulsions, drowning, and death.
Use of gas mixtures containing oxygen in excess of 40% with this regu-
lator, can lead to fires and explosions, causing severe personal injury
and death.
