1.8 Storage/Transportation
• Store all components in such a way that they cannot be damaged.
• Protect all components from the effects of weather and preferably store them horizon-
tally.
• Transport the product in an unassembled state with a forklift truck.
• Never transport the product in an assembled state with vehicles.
• Do not lift the product by its guardrail or struts; always attach the lifting tackle properly
to the stair body or the platform.
• Secure the components with a strap to prevent them sliding or falling during transport.
• Do not throw the components during loading or unloading.

2.1 Hazard classification
The following signal words are used together with the safety warning symbol to indicate
the severity of a possible hazard.
