7.2 Cleaning

Cleaning the product improperly may result in injury.
• Dry all stepping surfaces and handrails thoroughly after cleaning.
• Use personal protective equipment if necessary.
• Dispose of used cleaning solutions in accordance with the applicable environmental
regulations.
• Clean the product regularly. Use suitable cleaning agents and observe the safety in-
structions of the cleaning agent manufacturer.
• Replace any damaged or missing safety labels and information signs.
7.3 Inspection
The product must be regularly inspected by a qualified person to ensure safety and func-
tionality. The qualified person needs to be authorised by the operator to perform the in-
spection and is also required to have participated in the seminars mandatory in the coun-
try of use.
• After performing an inspection (without finding defects) or after repairing existing de-
fects, affix an inspection plate on the product.
7.3.1 Inspection intervals
• The user must carry out daily inspections to check that the product is fit for use.
• A qualified person must carry out an inspection (including the relevant documentation)
at least once a year.
7.3.2 Scope of inspection
• Check all components for deformation, denting and cracks.
• Check that all screwed and riveted connections are properly secured. Where applicable,
check whether the bolt torques meet the specifications.
• Check all welded seams for cracks.
• Check torque of bolt connection of the steps (10 Nm).
• Check manual rack and pinion winch and gear rack for damage and proper functioning.
• Check that castors, wheels and chassis stabilisers function properly.
• Check that the brakes are working properly.
• Check that swing door or pole barrier functions properly.
• Check whether optional parts and accessories are installed correctly.
• Check the use of original spare parts.
7.4 Lubrication

Improper lubrication of the product may result in injury.
Wipe off excess oil. The standing surfaces must not be soiled with any oil.
• Dispose of cleaning cloths moistened with oil in accordance with the applicable envi-
ronmental protection regulations.
