WARNING
Injury to persons
Failure to observe the requirements for safe use of the product may result in serious
injury.
• A clearance height of 2,300 mm on the platform to any obstacles on site must be ob-
served.
• No obstacles may protrude from the machines into the working area of the access
steps with platform.
• A minimum passage height of 850 mm must be maintained at narrow points.
• A clearance of at least 100 mm must be ensured between the handrail/guardrail and
any obstacles at the place of use.
• The distance of max. 270 mm between the steps of the entrance and exit surfaces
must not be exceeded.
• Push-on guardrails in the direction of the machine may only be removed if the dis-
tance is less than 120 mm.
• Openings between the floor covering and adjacent components must be made in ac-
cordance with DIN EN ISO 14122-3.
• The immediate vicinity must be observed during transport by a companion/signaller.
• No persons are allowed in the danger zone while the work platform is moving.
• Before initiating a movement, all danger zones must be inspected and checked by the
operating personnel.
• No persons may be on or under the platform during the traversing process and height
adjustment.
• Before moving and adjusting the height, check that there are no loose parts on the
platform.

Injury to persons
There is a risk of falling if the product is used improperly. This may result in damage to
property, severe injury and even death.
• Do not enter the platform before the platform is in front of the machine.
• Do not step onto the access steps with platform until the locking bolts of the manual
rack and pinion winch have engaged.
• Always use the access steps to get onto the product. Climb slowly and without rush-
ing.
• Never climb onto the railings or jump onto the surfaces.
• For access steps with platform >45°, climb up and down the stairs facing forwards.
• Carry loads in such a way that you have one hand free to hold on to the guard rail.
• The load you are carrying must not obscure your view of the steps.
• Remove ice, snow and other slippery substances (oil, grease etc.) from the stepping
surfaces and handrail/guardrail before use.
• Never move the product while there are people, material or tools on it.
• If a swing door or pole barrier is fitted, always keep it closed when working on the
product. Never block the automatic locking device.
