Automatic Timer
The integrated timer can be used to set the cooking
duration on all four cooking zones.
Using the auto-
matic timer means that you do not have to con-
stantly remain near the cooking zone during cooking:
The cooking zone is switched off automatically at the
end of the required time.
If you program the timer without a cooking zone, you
can use it as a minute minder (see minute minder
function).
Programming the automatic timer
1.
As soon as the cooking zone has been selected
and the decimal point is displayed, set a heating
power level between 1 and 9.

Now press the key for the timer

shown in the timer display.

Use the keys - and + in order to select the
required cooking duration (1 - 99 minutes).
The timer is automatically activated after a few sec-
onds and counts backwards in minutes.

Keep the key + or - pressed in order to
adjust the required period more quickly.
Switching off the automatic timer
When the set cooking duration has elapsed, the
cooking zone is automatically switched off. An audi-
ble signal will be heard for approximately 2 minutes:

To switch off the tone signal before the 2 minutes
have elapsed, press any key.
The cooking zone is then switched off.
If you want to switch off the timer before the pro-
grammed cooking duration has ended, press the key
- until "
00
" is displayed.
The timer is then switched off. The cooking zone
remains switched on until it is switched off manually.
To switch off the cooking zone quickly, press the
keys for the corresponding cooking zone: The
selected heating power setting and a decimal point
are displayed. Simultaneously press the + and -
keys. The cooking zone is then switched off.
The timer is not switched off, but no longer has any
influence on the cooking zone.
Minute Minder
The timer can be used as a minute minder if it is not
programmed for a cooking zone.
Switching on the minute minder
The appliance is switched off:
1.
Press the On/Off button.
2.
Press the timer key
w
.
3.
Press the key + or - to set a period.
The timer cannot be used as an egg timer as soon as
one or more cooking zones are in operation.
Switching off the minute minder
After the programmed period expires, "
00
" is shown
in the timer display and audible signal is heard for 2
minutes.
To switch off the tone signal before the 2 minutes
have elapsed, press any key.
If you want to switch off the timer before the pro-
grammed period has ended, press the key - until

00
" is shown in the timer display.
The time switch is then switched off. To switch off
the time switch quickly, press the keys + and - simul-
taneously.

Note: The heat settings are only adjustable
for the respective selected zones. This is
indicated by a decimal point in the display.
