FIELD WIRING GUIDE COOL/HEAT PUMP

Ensure that the voltage should be /-10% of rated voltage on unit. As operation of unit at improper
voltage may cause unit damage which could affect warranty.
•
For recommended fuse sizes and draw amps. Please refer the Electrical data table.
•
Install a branch circuit disconnector / isolator of adequate size to handle starting current as per local code.
Provide separate isolator for units & electrical heater circuit.
•
Ensure that the isolators are easily accessible from the unit.
•
Connect the power cables to unit from isolator through the holes provided in the electrical panel of unit.
•
Route all control wires (24v or 240v) separately through the knock out holes provided in the electrical panel of
the units (as shown in fig.16).
•
Connect the ground lead to the ground lug to avoid any electrical shock.
•
For detailed description, please refer the wiring diagram.
•
Ensure phase sequence of main power supply to units, phase reversal may cause failure of compressors and
motors.
•
Use copper wires only.
Field wiring should be done as per national fire, safety and electrical codes.
