pendently of the adjustments. Otherwise, the batteries may be low or the
fi
lter system damaged. If the
fi
lter does not react to the „TEST”
button even if the batteries have been replaced, it must be replaced with a correctly functioning
fi
lter.
Work with the welding guard
: The
fi
lter installed in the guard will be activated automatically in case it is illuminated with electric arc gener-
ated during welding. The reaction time amounts to 1/25 000 seconds. The
fi
lter does not have a switch, and therefore during breaks in work
it is recommended to place the guard with the
fi
lter facing downwards, which will permit to reduce the consumption of batteries.
Before welding commences, make sure the handwheel has been set to the dark state appropriate for the kind of welding to be carried out. If
during work it is noticed the
fi
lter does not darken automatically, it is required to interrupt the work immediately and adjust the
fi
lter. If despite
the adjustments the
fi
lter is not functioning correctly, contact an authorised service point. It is prohibited to work with a defective welding
fi
lter, since this might lead to irreversible sight damage. The range of ambient temperature is from -5°C do +55°C. The
fi
lter has not been
designed to protect the sight during laser welding.
Operating instructions
: The sensors of the
fi
lter must be maintained clean and they must not be obstructed. In case of automatic welding
fi
lters with manual adjustments, the maximum and minimum grades of protection are obtained when the tuning is set to zero. Means of eye
protection, which protect from high-velocity particles worn along with standard glasses may transmit the impact, implying a danger for the user.
Attention! If what is required is protection from high-velocity particles at extreme temperatures, then the selected means of eye protection
must be marked with the letter T directly after the letter which indicates the symbol of impact, i.e. FT, BT or AT. If the letter indicating the
symbol of the impact is not placed directly before the T then the means of protection may be used solely for protection from being hit by
particles moving at a high velocity in the room temperature.
Maintenance and storage:
: Once work has been concluded, the shield should be cleaned with a soft and wet cloth. Heavy soiling may
be removed with water and soap; dry with a cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents. Do not use solvents to clean the
fi
lter and the
guard. Do not submerge the welding
fi
lter in water. The product should be stored in the provided individual packaging in a dark, dry, ventilat-
ed and closed area. During storage do not exceed the range of temperature between -20°C and +70°C. Protect the product from dust and
dirt (using foil bags and others, etc.) Protect the product from mechanical damage. Transport - in the provided individual case, in cardboard
boxes, in closed means of transport.
