The installers are shown in the specified folder. For 32bit PCs, double-click 

CP210

 to install. 

 

 

 
 

 Connect a PC to the DF870.

 

 

Connect a PC to the DF870 via a USB cable. Then open 

Device Manager

 on Control Panel. If 

Silicom Labs CP210x 

USB to UART Bridge (COMx)

 is listed under 

Ports (COM & 

LPT)

, the driver is normally installed. Write down the 

assigned COM number on a memo and remember it because 
you need to use it in an upcoming setup step.

 and enter the page for the DF870. Download “DF870 

communication software” from the page. When you extract the downloaded file, the following four files appear. 

 

 

 
 

 Data output file 

 

Measured results are saved in a CSV file. Note that data is overwritten in the file, so you cannot save 
new data while the CSV file is open (a communication error occurs).
