4-4. Descriptions about parameters
[Operation setting -
 Body composition settings]
 Impedance printing (output): Set whether or not to print the impedance on printing paper.
 PSM printing (output): Set whether or not to print the skeletal muscle ratio on printing paper.
 Display time of meas. wt: Set the period from determining the measured weight to switching to the height
input so that you can confirm the weight during measurement.
 Personal correction: If there is a difference in the body fat percentage or the visceral fat index from the
results measured by a medical instrument, this function compensates for the
difference.
 Judgment of body: Set whether or not to display the comprehensive evaluations determined from the
results of BMI, body fat percentage, and visceral fat index.

 Print setting]
 Printing from printer: Set whether or not to print the measured results.
 Clothing corr aft meas.: Set whether or not to retain the input tare for clothes for the next measurement.
 Printing of Meas. No: Set whether or not to print the measurement number.
 Paper feed after printing: Set the amount of feeding the paper after the completion of printing.

 Communication setting]
 Communication: Set whether or not to communicate with a personal computer; and if you do, set the
communication means: via the USB port or Bluetooth™(option).
 Comm speed (USB-COM): Set the speed of sending data to a personal computer via the USB port.
[Operation setting -
 Scale setting]
 Clothing corr aft meas.: Set whether or not to clear the input tare for clothes before measurement.
 Auto off: Turn off the power if no one uses the DF870 for the specified period.
 DispFix at PWR-ON: Set whether or not to hold the indication or continue from the previous state when
the power is turned on.
 Measurement mode during ON: Set the mode from Weight mode, Body Composition mode, or Previous
state when the power is turned on.
