PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
CHECKING AND ADJUSTING
THE TRACK TENSION
Make sure that the tension of the track is
correct.
If the tension of the track is not correct, the
track may slip or it may fall off. Adjust the
slack if necessary.
WARNING
Position the Snowblower on a level sur-
face.
Checking
1. Stop the engine and remove the engine
switch key.
2. Check the slack of the track by pressing
its center position with your hand (with
approximately 5 kgf (11 lbf) force).
Slack:
11–16 mm (0.43–0.63 in)
(when pressed by 5 kgf (11 lbf) force)

TIP
Check the track for wear and damage at
the same time.
Adjusting
1. Stop the engine and remove the engine
switch key.
2. Loosen the wheel nut on both sides.

3. Loosen the locknut, and adjust the track
slack by turning the adjusting bolt.

TIP
Turn the adjusting bolts so that the left and
right tracks have the same slack.
4. Tighten the locknuts and wheel nuts to
the specified torques.
