Storage

2.

Remove the fuel tank cap and bolts 1, 2, and then 
remove the top cover.

3.

Disconnect the negative lead from the negative 
battery terminal.

 

TIP

See “Checking the battery fluid” on page 5-19.

4.

Empty the fuel tank.

 

TIP

Prepare a suitable container to collect the extracted 
gasoline.

5.

Turn the fuel cock lever from the “RUN” position to 
the “STOP” position.

Remove the bolts.
