Before operation
Gasoline is a highly volatile and flammable fuel.
When handling gasoline, be sure to observe the
following points.
• Do not smoke while refueling.
Also, never put any other open flames close to
the Snowblower while refueling.
• Before opening the fuel tank cap, discharge any
static electricity on yourself by touching a metal
chassis or other metal object. If there is any
static electricity on yourself, the electrical dis-
charge may cause a spark, resulting in burn inju-
ries.
• Always refuel alone.
If more than one person are nearby when refuel-
ing is taking place, static electricity on their bod-
ies may cause a spark.
• Only refuel outdoors.
• Do not fill gasoline above the specified level (up
to the base of the filler neck).
• If any gasoline spills, wipe it up completely using
dry rags.
• After refueling, make sure the fuel tank cap is
tightened securely.
• Should you happen to swallow some gasoline,
inhale gasoline vapor, or get gasoline in your
eyes, seek immediate medical attention.
• If any gasoline spills onto your skin, immediately
wash it off with soap and water.
Change your clothing if any gasoline spills on
them.
• Be sure to only use the specified fuel. If any type
of fuel other than that specified is used, the
engine start-up performance may drop or the
engine may be damaged.
• Exercise care not to let impurities such as dust
enter the fuel tank. Otherwise, they will damage
the engine.
