TIP
The skid is a wear part. When the skid is worn and
needs replacement, have a Yamaha dealer replace it.
Scraper
The scraper is used to flatten the surface to clear snow.
Adjust the clearance between the road surface and the
scraper end according to road surface conditions (See
page 5-16).
Shear bolt guard
If any foreign objects become lodged in the auger, or
the auger hits a curb, the rubber dampers in the shear
bolt guard will absorb the impact and protect the auger.
If any strong impact is added to the auger, the shear
bolt will break to protect the auger and the auger shaft.

Do not look into or put your hands near the auger
when it is rotating. Rotating parts are dangerous
and can cause serious injuries.
