Disconnect the rediator fan motor coupler
(wire harness side).

Connect the battery (12 V) as shown.
Battery positive lead blue
Battery negative lead black
The radiator fan mo-
tor is faulty and must
be replaced.

Check the condition of the battery.

Check the main, signal, and radiator fan mo-
tor fuses for continuity.
Refert to “CHECKING THE FUSES” in
CHAPTER 3.

Are the main, turn signal, and radiator fan
motor fuses OK?

Replace the fuse (-s).

The radiator fan motor fails to turn.
S
The engine overheat indicator light fails
to come on when the engine is hot.
Check:
1. Main, turn signal, and rediator fan motor
fuses
2. Battery
3. Main switch
4. Radiator fan motor
5. Thermo switch
6. Thermo unit
7. Water temperature warning light bulb and
socket
8. Wiring connections
(the entire cooling system)

Before troubleshooting, remove the following
part(-s).
1) Rider and passenger seats
2) Side covers (left and right)
3) Fuel tank

Troubleshoot with the following special
tool(-s).
