INSTALLING THE SHIFT FORKS
1. Install:

shift forks

S

shift fork guide bars

The embossed marks on the shift forks should
face towards the right side of the engine and be
in the following sequence: “R”, “C”, “L”.

2. Install:

shift cam

S

shift cam retainer 

2

S

Apply LOCTITE

R

 #648 to the shift cam retain-

er screws.

S

Rotate the shift cam to the neutral position.

3. Install:

neutral switch 

1

Apply grease to the neutral switch.

Always use a new O-ring.
