1 Ability to start engine using
starter motor. Turn the main switch to “ON”,
crank the engine, and then turn
the main switch to “OFF”. Per-
form this procedure 2 times. Engine could not be started
→
Go to item 2.
Engine could be started
→
Turn
the main switch to “ON”, and
then check the fault code using
the malfunction mode of the
YDT.
Condition is “Recover”
→
Go to
item 7 and finish the service.
Condition is “Malfunction”
→
Go
to item 2.
2 Discharged battery. Charge the battery.
Battery could be charged
→
Re-
peat item 1.
Battery could not be charged
→
Replace the battery.
Engine could not be started
→
Go to item 3.
Engine could be started
→
Turn
the main switch to “ON”, and
then check the fault code using
the malfunction mode of the
YDT.
Condition is “Recover”
→
Go to
item 7 and finish the service.
Condition is “Malfunction”
→
Go
to item 3.
3 Installed condition of battery
leads. Check the installed condition of
the battery and battery leads
(loose bolts).
Improperly installed battery or
battery leads
→
Reinstall or re-
place the battery leads.
Turn the main switch to “ON”,
crank the engine, and then turn
the main switch to “OFF”.
Perform this procedure 2 times,
and then check the fault code
using the malfunction mode of
the YDT.
Condition is “Recover”
→
Go to
item 7 and finish the service.
Condition is “Malfunction”
→
Go
to item 4.
4 Wire harness continuity. Open or short circuit
→
Replace
the wire harness.
Between ECU coupler and main
fuse.
red–red
Between main fuse and battery
terminal.
red–red
Turn the main switch to “ON”,
crank the engine, and then turn
the main switch to “OFF”.
Perform this procedure 2 times,
and then check the fault code
using the malfunction mode of
the YDT.
Condition is “Recover”
→
Go to
item 7 and finish the service.
Condition is “Malfunction”
→
Go
to item 5.
