When 01 is indicated in diag-
nostic mode (code No. D60),
EEPROM data error for adjust-
ment of CO concentration.
Switch to the CO adjustment
mode with the Yamaha diagnos-
tic tool, perform the CO adjust-
ment (press “Step up” or “Step
down” once *1), and turn “OFF”
the main switch.
For details, refer to the instruc-
tion manual for the Yamaha di-
agnostic tool.
*1 At this time, the CO adjust-
ment value on the YDT screen
will not change.
Turn the main switch to “ON”,
and then check the condition of
the fault code in diagnostic
mode of the Yamaha diagnostic
tool.
Condition is Recovered
Go to
item 5 and finish the service.
Condition is Detected
Return
to item 1 and check again.
If there is no change in the situ-
ation, perform the procedure in
item 4.

When 12 is indicated in diag-
nostic mode (code No. D60),
EEPROM data error of O2 feed-
back control learning values.
Turn the main switch to “OFF”.
Turn the main switch to “ON”,
and then check the condition of
the fault code in diagnostic
mode of the Yamaha diagnostic
tool.
Condition is Recovered
Go to
item 5 and finish the service.
Condition is Detected
Return
to item 1 and check again.
If there is no change in the situ-
ation, perform the procedure in
item 4.

ECU malfunction
Replace the ECU.
Finish the service.

fault code.
Delete this fault code with the
status “Recovered” in the
Yamaha diagnostic tool.

and peripheral harness.
Replace faulty parts.
After starting the engine, let it
idle and leave it for about 5 sec-
onds.
After the above work is finished,
check the condition of the fault
code in diagnostic mode of the
Yamaha diagnostic tool.

Go to
item 2 and finish the service.
Condition is Detected
Per-
form the procedure in item 1
and recheck.
