Error Messages
■
Failed to open MIDI In Driver
This message is displayed when the File Utility starts up and the MIDI driver is currently being used
by another application. Click [OK], quit any applications that are using the MIDI driver, and start the
File Utility again.
■
Can’t find the MIDI device. Check the MIDI device settings.
Refer to the Installation Guide, install the MIDI driver, and specify the USB port or COM port settings
correctly.
■
OMS is not installed.
Install the OMS software and set it up properly according to the instructions in the section “OMS
Settings” (
■
Communication is failed. Check the MIDI connections.
WSS Access Error *****
EDS Error *****
RPC Error *****
Confirm the following and try the operation again.
•
Is the MIDI device with the SCSI device properly connected to the computer? If not, make the
proper connections according to the instructions in the owner’s manual of your MIDI instrument.
•
Is the MIDI device or the SCSI device turned ON? If not, turn the power ON.
•
Is the File Utility ID set correctly?
•
Is the MIDI device’s Port set correctly? Make the correct the setting according to the instruc-
tions in the owner’s manual of your MIDI instrument.
•
If you are using a Windows, is the device properly set up? Refer to the Installation Guide, install
the MIDI driver, and select the correct MIDI driver.
•
If you are using a Macintosh, set up OMS properly according to the instructions in the section
“OMS Settings” (
).

Path Not Found, Invalid Path.
The folder/file structure indicated in the File Utility window may be different from the actual structure.
Reload or refresh the window in the File Utility program.

Can’t create *********
Not Enough Disk Space
The file could not be saved to the disk because the disk is full.

Can’t Copy *********
Can’t Delete *********
Can’t Move *********
Check whether the selected folder or file is appropriate, or reload/refresh the window in the File
Utility program.

Cannot execute.
•
This message appears when the operation cannot be executed because of the MIDI instru-
ment’s status (during playback or recording of the sequencer function, for example). Set the
MIDI instrument to the normal mode and try the File Utility operation again.

This message also appears when the operation cannot be executed because of the MIDI instru-
ment’s specifications. For details on which File Utility functions are not available for your partic-
ular MIDI instrument, refer to the owner’s manual (Installation Guide) of the relevant instrument.
