Connect the pocket tester.

Turn the pocket tester switch from the

“OFF” position to the “

× 1k” position.

CORRECT

FAULTY

The needle swings and returns back quickly.

The needle does not swing.

The needle does not return.

Replace the condenser.

WARNING

Discharge the old condenser by short-

ing the two terminals together.

Use an insulated screwdriver.

Do not touch either of the terminals or

the ground before the condenser is dis-
charged.
