CLOSE GATE.
TIGHTEN LARGE
WING BOLT.
INSTALL HAT CAP.
SLIDE MAST ASSEMBLY
ONTO ARM.
• Brace head of pin with
a hammer or heavy tool.
• With a mallet or
hammer, hit hat cap
hard against pin.
It may take a few good hits to get
cap to seat properly.
STABILIZE PIN WHILE INSTALLING CAP.
BE SURE CAP IS ATTACHED
SQUARELY ONTO PIN!
You may need to
wiggle mast so
holes can align.
INSTALL PIVOT PIN.
INSTALL HITCH NUT —
ATTACH BASE TO HITCH.
The hole in hitch
must align to hole
in carrier base.
Slide nut housing
into end of
carrier.
Tape hat cap onto end
of pivot pin.
There should be an audible “click” as
gate snaps into base.
Insert the key, lock
the hitch lock.
Close the lock cap.
LOCK THE
CARRIER TO THE
VEHICLE.
LARGE BOLT AND
LOCK-WASHER.
Use a 7/8 or
15/16 inch
socket
wrench and
TIGHTEN.
HITCH LOCK
SECURES THE BOLT.
Loop the bolt
and fold the lock
onto the bolt.
